Litha 2022, 2023, 2024 began as a project by two high school students, Neksha DeSilva (age 13), who created the concept, design, branding and development diection, and Thisal Nethnidu (age 14), who created a Google Play app mirror in Java in 2022. The 2023 version became the foundation for the versions that followed, with major and minor UI improvements over time. The project drew strong attention inside the school community and the ICT society, and later reached over 0.2 million total page visits during Avurudu week in 2024. This project is now associated with Sri Lanka Media Firm Lakpura LLC.
